A new customer recently told me that CorePilot would be part of the legacy they leave behind when they retire.
That struck a chord—and it was a powerful juxtaposition. In tech, “legacy systems” usually mean outdated, clunky tools that aren’t useful by today’s standard. But the word legacy is so much more than old software.
Legacy is what you leave behind—your values, your systems, your impact. And the real legacy isn’t static. It’s alive when you inspire the next generation to build, to lead, and to carry things forward. That’s legacy in motion.
For me, CorePilot isn’t just software. It’s personal. It’s my own legacy in motion.
It’s named in honor of my favorite pilot—my dad, Lt. Col. Thomas “Divot” Smith. He was the second in our family to fly the F-16, following his father, and the third generation of Air Force pilots beginning with my great-grandfather in WWII. Now, my brother continues that tradition and will fly the F-16 as well.
Four generations. One shared love of aviation. That legacy is the foundation of CorePilot.
We built CorePilot to keep that legacy in motion—a next-generation, AI-powered ERP designed for the people who keep aviation running behind the scenes. The ones solving high-stakes problems, moving parts quickly and safely, and keeping aircraft in the sky.
No more clunky, outdated systems. CorePilot is fast, intuitive, and built side-by-side with industry veterans who know the day-to-day realities. In a very real way, CorePilot is their legacy in motion too.
The result? A system that gets out of your way so you can focus on what matters most: your customers, your growth, and the kind of legacy that endures long after you’ve moved on.
Don’t let your legacy be a legacy system. They weren’t built for today—let alone tomorrow. Leave them in the past so that your legacy can continue to move forward.
Build something better. Inspire what’s next. And give the next generation the next-gen tools they deserve—so your legacy doesn’t end with you. It stays in motion.
